Tomorrow is packet drop off/pick up at Illini from 3-7 pm. Please return library books tomorrow also, if you have finished reading them. In an effort to proceed as safely as possible we ask that only one adult drop off/pick up work. We are asking that no children come to the school tomorrow. Grade level tables will be marked. Packets will be labeled. Tubs for returned work will be labeled. Teachers will not be in attendance tomorrow evening. We thank you in advance for observing these guidelines.

Hey kids, we miss you more than you will ever know. Staff will be heading up Bunkum, toward Bountiful Heights, up Union Hill to Brittany Estates, back down Ruby toward Old Lincoln Trail then back toward Circle on Monday. We will be heading out about 5:30 pm. We can’t get into all neighborhoods, some are just not parade accessible, but know we wish we could. If you are along the route we are coming. We would love to see you out. Once again we miss you more than you could ever know. Hope to see some of you Monday. *Remember to stay back from the cars for everyone’s safety.

Buses will be out tomorrow between 10:20-11:45 am delivering lunches again. They are running the kids normal bus route and you will need to be at their normal bus stop. If you are unsure of your bus stop or the approximate time, please contact Grant tomorrow after 9:00 am. If you miss delivery or prefer to pick up, lunches can be picked up in front of the school at Grant from 10:40-11:45 each weekday. There will not be curbside availability at Illini. Please be patient this first week as we learn routes, and as we work to get every child a lunch who needs one in our neighborhoods. Lastly, thank you to all the volunteers who are dividing out, loading, and delivering each day. You are so appreciated.

Good Evening Everyone, This afternoon Gov. Pritzker issued an executive order for all Illinois Schools to be closed due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak. We will be closed from Monday, March 16-Friday, March 27. We would like for our kiddos to still have learning opportunities available to them. We have a wide variety of on-line resources, google platforms, and some may prepare hard copies. The staff will be working to get materials together for students to work on during this time. You and you child will be able to pick op any materials they may need on Monday from 3:00-7:00pm. We are also working to coordinate a meal program for our students during this time. Additional information regarding this will be released early next week. Respectfully, Matt Stines

Illini Elementary could use donated clothes for the nurses offices. Let’s face it, accidents happen. We are in real need of pants. Particularly sizes 5-10/12. It’s that time of year we begin to transition to warmer clothes, so as you are going through your children’s closets, if you need to find a new home for the clothes they have out grown, we would love to take them. Just send them to the office in a bag marked donated items for the nurses office. Thank you in advance.
