Illini School Talent Search!
Illini School students are invited to participate in the fourth annual Illini Talent Show.
Students in all grade levels may audition for a spot in the talent show to be held during the school day on Tuesday, May 21st.
An audition will be held the week prior to the show during an evening time and is for planning purposes as well as to determine the appropriateness of the acts. This is not a contest and will not be judged, but rather an opportunity for us to celebrate the many talents that our students possess.
There are a few items to take into consideration:
Be sure that your child has rehearsed his or her act and is prepared to perform for an audience.
Plan to have all accompanists or musical CDs ready for the audition.
Children may not lip-sync to a CD but must be able to sing the piece independently.
Mats are available for gymnastic routines.
Some talents that we would love to see are:
Original poems or memorized pieces
Piano or other instrumental pieces
Gymnastic routines
Vocal pieces (can be original with music or a capella)
Short skits
