Dear parents/guardians,
It is with great sadness that I must inform you one of our teachers, Ms. Dallas, passed away last night.
She was a beloved special education teacher and will be greatly missed by the entire school community of Grant CCSD #110. The loss of a teacher can have a profound impact on students and teachers as they learn of her death.
Students may have a particularly difficult time dealing with this loss and we encourage you to talk with your child. We will have grief counselors available at the school tomorrow to assist students.
I know you join me in extending our heartfelt sympathy to the Dallas family in this difficult time. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns that you have. Your support is greatly appreciated during this time as we mourn the passing of someone who cared deeply about our school community.
