Dear Parents,
We
are nearing the end of the remote school year. Thank you for all of
your patience and persistence working through these very different
times. With the adjustments to the school calendar for remote learning
days, we are at the point for students to return completed work and to
also return any tech that has been issued.
We
are planning to have the building open to collect completed work on
Wednesday, May 13 from 9am to 2pm. We also ask that chromebooks be
returned at this time. If you cannot make it from 9-2, please contact
Mr. Bednara ( bednara.b@dist110.com ) to make arrangements for returning
the chromebook.
We also have several
families who still need to pick up their students personal items from
school. This can also be done on May 13. Any items not picked up by May
18 will be donated.
The last day for meal service will be on Friday, May 15th.
We
are still awaiting the yearbooks to arrive. We are being told it will
be a couple more weeks. Once they are here, we will send out information
on picking them up.
Graduation has been
scheduled for May 21. We are still working out the details of what this
will look like. Information will be provided by Mr. Horrighs in the next
few days about plans for diplomas.
Next Year
Things
are still not clear on what next year will look like. We have every
intention of returning to school in August. However, we must all be open
to the idea that remote learning will likely happen in the fall as we
continue to deal with the effects of the virus.
Online
registration will open on Monday, July 6. This will once again be done
through the teacherease program and all returning students will need to
be registered this way. We are asking that you upload one residency
proof, which must be property taxes, mortgage statement, or a current
lease. Health records, physicals, and dental exams will also need to be
submitted for registration.
For new
students, and those families who register under an affidavit, we will
have on site registration on Tuesday, July 21, from 12pm to 8pm (as
permitted)
The PreK screening has been tentatively re-scheduled for July 23.
Once again, thank you for all of your patience. We are all dealing with things one day at a time as the situation changes.
