Dear Parents/ Guardians,
I know it feels like summer just started, but the upcoming school year will be here before we know it! At school we are in the midst of planning for next year and we want to provide some information to all of you to help with your planning.
On-line Registration is Open!
All returning students, not under affidavit, can complete the entire registration process on-line. Registration can be accessed through the TeacherEase system,
Registration for New Students and Affidavit Residence
Registration for all new students and returning students who need to complete an affidavit for residency will be on Tuesday, July 19, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at Grant Middle School.
Lunch Price/ Eligibility Changes
As we move out of the pandemic, the waiver for all students to have a free breakfast and lunch is expiring. We will be going back to the pre-pandemic rules where families much qualify for free/ reduced meals either through Direct Certification, SNAP/TANF, or by completing the Household Eligibility Application.
In addition, our district will have to increase our paid breakfast and lunch prices, based upon the State’s Equity Calculation Tool for Meals, a requirement of our annual administrative review. We have obviously not had an increase because of the pandemic waiver and there is a “catch up” from those years in the increase. Next year, student lunches will be $3.50 and breakfast will be $2.00.
Open Houses
Illini will be Monday, August 8th, 6:00 to 8:00pm. Grant will be Tuesday, August 9th, 6:00 to 8:00pm.
