Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we continue through the school year, our top priority remains keeping our students, staff, and school community healthy and ready to learn. We need your partnership to help prevent the spread of germs in our classrooms.
Please review the following guidelines to help determine when your child should stay home from school:
When to Keep Your Child Home
Fever: A temperature of 100°F (37.8°C) or higher. Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to school.
Vomiting or Diarrhea: Students should stay home until 24 hours have passed since their last episode.
Persistent Cough or Breathing Difficulty: A severe, continuous cough or shortness of breath that disrupts learning or makes it difficult for the student to participate comfortably.
Contagious Illness: Any diagnosed contagious condition (such as strep throat, flu, pink eye, or COVID-19) until cleared by a doctor or until proper medication/isolation periods have been completed.
Unexplained Rash: Any new or spreading rash, especially if accompanied by a fever, until evaluated and cleared by a healthcare provider.
General Malaise: If your child is unusually fatigued, pale, irritable, or simply too unwell to comfortably participate in daily classroom activities.
