Socktober theme for the day is to wear socks as part of your outfit somewhere other than your feet. Challenge Accepted! We have sock headbands, scarves, Gloves, and many more. Ms Stephany's class has had the most participation 2 weeks in a row and will receive an extra sock donation.
Next Wednesday's challenge is Sock puppets!



The first 5/6th grade art club meeting of the school year! We made custom scratch boards!

Thanks to everyone who has donated to Socktober so far. An update on our friendly competition at the end of week 1. Illini Eagles are up 207 pairs to GMS Yankees 206. What a close race!


2nd Grade students did a great job learning to skip count by 2s and practiced counting objects by pairing them to make counting large amounts easier!

Judge Tameeka Purchase and Heinz Rudolf were excited to present this afternoon the IJA’s anti-bullying & social media awareness presentation. They spoke to the 5-8th grade students. Approximately 250 students and staff present. The students were terrific.

6th grade Social Studies have been learning about Ancient Egypt. This week, they got the chance to create their own mummy and tomb!
