Roman is Mrs. Claxton’s May Student of the Month! During distance learning, Roman worked hard and completed his school work, participated in all of the class Zoom meetings, and maintained a positive attitude. He spent time building Lego patterns, playing games, hanging with his siblings, and playing outside. Way to go Roman!

A-Z Countdown, Day U: What is UNIQUE about you? Here are some that worked well for pics. Can you do a headstand? How about that thing with your eyes?!

At this time, some Doctor's offices are not seeing patients for physicals and immunizations. I wanted to share that Kevin Ponciroli, a Pediatrician with A to Z Pediatrics, is offering assistance to kids by allowing them to come in for a one-time physical without changing their primary care location. All insurance is accepted including Medicaid plans. To be seen, they require an up to date shot record to be brought in.
Here is the contact information.

Also, Dental safari will be coming to Grant and Illini in January 2021. I encourage all students to use this service, and as a reminder, all students in Kindergarten, 2nd, and 6th grade require a dental exam due May 15th of that school year.
These dental exams must be done within 18 months of the due date, so if your student will be entering one of these grades this coming year (2020) or the following school year (2021), this date will cover the requirement.
You can fill out a form online at

We will miss Ms. Zmaila! Best wishes!
